Our Demand Planning Department at the China headquarter in Shanghai China is looking immediately for a highly motivated

 

                                                          Demand Planning Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Demand Planning Manager will support the Head of Merchandising in the development and execution of merchandising strategies and budget that support the overall brand building and sales growth in China. Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for driving financial results by maximizing sales and product margin, optimizing inventory levels, managing inventory turn and Open-to-Buy through various product planning and demand forecast.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create the best possible sales forecast based on insight from Sales trends, strength of products, marketing activities and promotions through a monthly structured sales and operations planning process.
  • Manage, maintain and present department financial forecast in OTB. Take appropriate action to maximize sales, profitability and inventory productivity. 
  • Create category merchandising plans, inventory plans, and margin goals that align with product opportunities. 
  • Work with Buyers to build appropriate assortments for each delivery that fit the sales plans. 
  • Collaborate with Buyers on inventory and markdown management. Analyze performance in season and make markdown or chase recommendations. 
  • Identify and communicate potential inventory liabilities and drive appropriate actions to resolution. 
  • Provide various reports for inventory, sales and product performance. 
  • Identify missed opportunities from previous seasons, opportunities for growth, and down-trending businesses. 
  • Create and develop new reporting to support better forecasting, planning, budgeting and performance tracking. 
  • Assist in developing processes that build efficiencies and streamline workflow.

  • Effectively plan workload and PRIORITIZE tasks and achieve deadlines. 
  • At least 5 years hands-on retail planning experience in underwear, lifestyle, fast-fashion, sportswear. 
  • Strong fashion sense, analytical skills, business acumen and numerical sense. 
  • Knowledge of online retail is advantage.
