Our Design Private Label Department at the Hongkong Office in Kowloon Hongkong is looking immediately for a highly motivated
Pattern and Fit Technician (f/m) (working 100%)
Purpose of the Job:
- Create concept/ prototype samples through interpretation of customer inputs or internal Corsina Creative designers’ input
- Provide technical direction and development knowledge and expertise
- Follow up process from design concept to complete technical pattern finalization
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Pre-development: Innovate new constructions/ technology for new ideas or New & Improved products for customer
- Prototype creation: style development and fitting process to critical deadlines of all new Corsina concepts for presentation to the customers and proto request from customers
- Advise suitable construction and solve fitting and workmanship problems. Interact with sewing room, relevant departments and production centres
- Prepare documents and patterns for sewing and costing
- Fit process: following up styles development according to critical deadlines until styles ready for production
- Develop product based on input and in accordance to deadline
- Initiate testing of new materials
- Prepare documents (sample cards, size splitting) and patterns for sewing, set BOM recalculation for cost update
- Style development (from first prototype to production pattern) and fitting process according to workflow, solve fitting problems.Interact with sewing room and production centres to solve workmanship problems and ensure constructions are workable for production
- Liaise with Molding department and PD department
- Ensure graded patterns are in logical grading and following customer’s grade rules
- Attend production centre meetings/ conference call for bulk styling following up
- Customer interaction: fittings with MAST Technical Design Team
- Meet with customer for fitting, development and technical problem solving
Your ideal profile:
- Pattern making experiences: work individually from sample request or fit comments
- Fit experiences (internal and external with customers): able to review fitting with customer and give valuable fit suggestion
- Able to follow up both pad styles and unlined styles is preferred
- Pad development experiences is preferred
- Technical skills : Good knowledge in bra pattern cutting and fitting and a good technical aspect of garment production
- Language Skills : Good level of spoken & written English
- IT proficiency : Good PC knowledge , Pattern making software
- Other skills : Team player with good communication skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
- Mobility : ability to travel overseas if required
