We are looking for a talented fashion designer to join our team in Tokyo office as a:

                                    Creative Fashion Designer for Triumph & Sloggi Brands

Role Summary: 

The Creative Designer researches, colour, fabric, silhouette/fit and detail trends to create individual design concepts as part of a coordinated Collection of women’s intimate apparel products.

The designer will be responsible for working as a team with merchandisers and product development teams in order to realise the designs to pre-production sample.

Ensuring that the product lives up to the style and quality expectation of the end consumer and is commercially accepted at the point of sale.

The purpose of the role is to deliver an ongoing collection of product designs, in line with the Global Creative vision, Seasonal trends and our Design DNA principles

 

Your Responsibilities:

To be fully responsible as Designer, i.e.

  • Research latest trends in color, fabric, pattern, silhouette/fit and details to deliver relevant product designs as part of a seasonal collection in line with the Triumph Global Design DNA.
  • Process Research information that can be used to continuously identify opportunities and sources of growth , and deliver against the Corporate and Business Unit KPI’s and Targets
  • Partner and collaborate with the Merchandising team to understand our assortment and our market needs.
  • Research competition as well as keeping up to date with the business opportunities in the field.
  • Partner and collaborate with the Product Development team providing them with clear product spec design tech packs in a PLM system and take part in product fittings (to deliver high quality market ready collections).
  • Partner and collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Teams to deliver information verbally and digitally on the product to aid communication and sales.

Your Success Indicators

  • To create women’s intimate Apparel Product Designs in line with the Seasonal trends, colour, fabric, pattern, silhouette/fit and details as well as Global Creative Vision and Design DNA for Triumph Creative Design Japan, ensuring that the product lives up to the style and quality expectation of the end consumer and is commercially accepted at the point of sale.
  • Deliver Creative product designs to the Product Development team On Time in Full through a continuous review of milestone and deadlines
  • Deliver physical Product to Merchandising and Marketing Teams at key milestone reviews and present verbally and digitally al product attributes.

       

Your ideal profile:

  • Language skill: Native or fluent (JLPT N1) level in Japanese language. English language is good to have but not mandatory.

  • Fashion market knowledge specific for Japan market necessary
  • More than 5~8 years+ experience in the Intimate/Apparel/Fashion Industry
  • CAD Design skills : Photoshop/Illustrator for product/print and pattern
  • Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator for product/print and pattern design
  • Familiar with PLM systems
  • High understanding of intimate apparel design and construction
  • Mobility: National Store visits for interaction with on the ground sales staff (frequency to be defined). Annual visit to suppliers.

  • Education degree/ background in Fashion Design
