Sales Strategy and Development
· Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy, setting goals and targets for the sales team and individual Business Associates (BAs).
· Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
· Identify opportunities for market expansion, explore new territories, and cultivate new retail sales channels and distribution opportunities.
Sales Execution and Optimization
· Maximize sales ROI by utilizing all available information and resources effectively. Increase average basket size and overall transactions.
· Implement sales plans, promotions, and follow the marketing calendar. Manage seasonal changes and ensure high standards of merchandising to enhance the shopping experience.
· Analyze sales figures and market research to forecast trends and demand. Develop annual sales budgets and plans in collaboration with other departments.
· Manage the national sales budget, including expenses related to sales activities, travel, and personnel. Generate and present sales reports and analyses to the management team.
· Utilize advanced Excel skills for complex commercial reporting tasks, including data manipulation and generating insightful reports. Ensure accuracy and clarity in data presentation.
· Utilize tools like Power BI to ensure optimal stock availability and manage inventory efficiently.
Sales Team Management
· Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve high performance and productivity. Provide guidance and support to cultivate a positive working culture and drive team success.
· Plan and manage work schedules to ensure optimal coverage during seasonal, business, and event peaks.
· Manage all aspects of the sales team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and appraisals. Ensure each team member's training needs are met and conduct regular evaluations to address performance issues.
· Establish clear communication channels to support the team and facilitate effective information sharing. Assist in building and maintaining a strong sales and service culture in collaboration with the Commercial Director.
Customer Excellence & Relationship Management
· Ensure high standards of customer service across stores and trades by implementing and monitoring the company’s service values.
· Provide a welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable service on the sales floor and ensure staff adhere to required service standards.
· Maintain a comfortable and convenient shopping environment through effective merchandise displays and testers.
· Address and respond to customer complaints and comments promptly.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts. Establish and nurture partnerships with department stores, wholesalers, and other potential sales channels.
Operational / Efficiency
· Ensure full compliance with standard SOPs, procedures, rules, payroll, and regulations. Implement profit protection measures.
· Minimize losses and maximize store profitability by achieving targets for staff costs, theft, and controllable expenses.
· Forward plan for seasonal changes in sales, covering, sales events, promotions, space and equipment needs, and appropriate stock availability.
· Adhere to legal and company regulations, policies, and safeguard company assets through health and safety and security policies.
· Lead negotiations with retail partners and distributors to secure favourable terms and agreements. Tailor strategies to address market needs.
· Collaborate with HR, marketing, merchandising, and finance teams to ensure retail strategies align with overall business goals.
· Work with the marketing department to develop effective sales and promotional materials.
