Our Finance Department in Hong Kong location is looking for a Regional Financial Controller

Your Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Manage regional financial planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with local finance in Asia on monthly reporting and review process.
  • Monitor company monthly & annual operating budget, provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare regional financial results, provide risks and opportunities assessment.
  • Standardized reporting, assist in system implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
  • In collaboration with local finance, Business Units and SSC. Offer proactive ideas to improve finance operation & performance.

Country responsibilities for HK & Macau:

Accounting, General Ledger, Cash Management & Administration

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards and principles, as well as regulatory requirements for HK & Macau entities.
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, financial procedures, legal and tax compliance.
  • Work closely with local finance and global Tax department on tax matters.
  • Enhance and implement measures to continuously improve financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.

Financial Management

  • Manage cash flow planning process and ensure fund availability for HK and Macau entities.
  • Set KPI on DSO & DOH, monitor Accounts Receivables & Inventory by market to improve working capital.
  • Financial assessment on capital investment, store projects and channel profitability
  • Collaborate with global tax on transfer pricing review and adjustments for the region.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements.

Finance Team Management & Leadership

  • Mentor and develop the Regional HQ (HK based) Finance team, provide systems training, performance appraisals and building an effective and efficient team dynamic.
  • Guide Finance teams, working according to one Company vision.
  • Oversee the performance of the outsourced SSC and manage their KPIs in relation to defined service levels.

Your ideal profile:

  • Master degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years in Leadership positions within Finance, preferably for retail companies
  • Experience as a Regional Finance Director in a global, family-owned/ matrix organization.
  • Sound understanding of both distribution and manufacturing centers, great communication skills and flexibility to be able to tackle topics from all business processes / areas / functions of the company.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, ideally Chinese (any other Asian Language is a benefit)
  • Fluent in standard Microsoft office software;
  • Knowledge in IT internal controls; SAP
  • Ability to travel
