Our Tax Department for our office in Madrid is looking for a
Global Direct Tax Senior Specialist (f/m/d) (100%)
In this role, you will provide Corporate Tax expertise to local finance teams across all countries where Triumph International operates. You will support a broad range of tax matters, including Transfer Pricing, tax accounting, and Pillar II requirements. You will advise all business units on Corporate Tax topics, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Group policies.
This position is hybrid, with 2 mandatory days at our office in Madrid.
Your Responsibilities:
- Development & implementation of tools (financial reports, market dynamics, competitor analysis etc.) for management team and sales/ Wholesale organization
- Monitor local country tax compliance processes to ensure adherence to local legislation, Group policies, and global Corporate Tax standards.
- Assist local Finance teams with tax audits and tax controversies, in collaboration with external advisors.
- Proactively identify and assess potential Corporate Tax risks and planning opportunities across Triumph’s operations, including those arising from Pillar II.
- Support tax accounting and reporting processes (IAS 12), including preparation of tax estimates, statutory tax provision calculations, management of the Effective Tax Rate, and analysis of Pillar II top‑up tax exposures.
- Support Transfer Pricing processes, including operational TP, year‑end TP adjustments, Local File documentation, and alignment with Group TP policies.
- Provide relevant input for the quarterly calculation and review of the international tax risk provision, including Pillar II‑related positions.
- Provide tax advice, training, and ongoing support to Finance teams across the Group.
- Identify and mitigate potential Permanent Establishment risks, and work to minimize withholding tax and transaction tax exposures.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the implementation of tax‑relevant projects across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support cash tax management, forecasting, and optimization initiatives.
Your ideal profile:
- 3–6 years of experience in Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, and/or Tax Accounting within a consultancy firm or multinational company
- Solid understanding of international Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing principles, and tax accounting (IAS 12), including provision calculations and ETR analysis
- Experience supporting year‑end tax provision processes, including data collection, adjustments, and reporting
- Experience with Transfer Pricing documentation, including Local Files and support for year‑end TP adjustments
- University Degree in International Tax Law, Finance, Economics or Certified Tax Expert (CTA or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency in English is required; Spanish
- Basic understanding of Pillar II (GloBE) concepts, including data requirements and impact assessments
- Working knowledge of VAT and Customs matters
- Experience supporting tax audits, including preparation of documentation and coordination with advisors
- Strong Excel skills and ability to handle tax‑related data analysis
- Ability to work with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and consolidation tools is an advantage
- Ability to oversee complex structures and to provide practical recommendations
- Strong communicator and possess an ability to develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels of the business and across various teams
- Hands-on and solution-oriented, as well as pragmatic and able to build networks and strong working relationships
