RETAIL OPERATIONS ANALYST ASIA
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Provide support to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the market retail sales teams.
GENERAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Retail Operations Analyst reports to the Head of Sales Operation and Business Development, with a common goal of providing sustainable and scalable commercial success efficiently via delivering the following responsibilities:
- Asia Retail Reporting & Analytics: Develop reports and perform data analysis on retail operations metrics, including Sales Performance, Retail KPIs, for all markets across Asia. Empower local market retail teams to become data driven and consumer obsessed by providing state of the art reporting, planning & analytics tools including supporting training programs. Deploy advanced retail technologies like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Analytics in line with company’s retail excellence x consumer obsession objectives.
- Provide actionable insights: Analyse retail data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize store performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive operational efficiencies in the region. Present data in monthly S&OP and Business review meetings as needed.
- Store clustering analytics: Develop and execute store clustering methodologies to categorize and group retail stores based on various factors such as location, customer demographics, store format, and performance indicators.
- Support process improvement initiatives: Identify areas for process improvement within retail operations, develop and implement efficient workflows, and contribute to enhancing data integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness across the Asia region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with various teams such as retail operations, marketing, merchandising, and IT to gather data inputs, align strategies, and support decision-making processes across different functions.
REQUIREMENTS
Professional EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years Retail industry experience
- 3+ years in Brand, Financial or Business Analytics required. Experience in project management.
- Experienced in working at multinational company, preferably in a headquarter function
Technical skills:
- Strong reporting, score carding and analysis experience interpreting complex data including using advanced Excel features, queries and statistical tools
- Highly analytical mind-set with the ability to look at vast amounts of data and synthesize that information into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business
- High degree of logical and mathematical thinking, very rational and fact-based mindset
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a focus on planning and prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus; Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
IT proficiency:
- Deep understanding of databases & reporting tools, e.g. SAP R/3 and SAP Hana / Business Warehouse (BW).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel incl. PowerPivot and Power BI with the ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly.
- PowerPoint development and presentation skills
